“Stormin’ Norman” is a narrow gauge (3’ 6”)  DD17 class steam locomotive built in Queensland, Australia, between 1948 and 1952.  It was restored in the 1990’s.

A fine image of a great old chugger.  We have a few of these still operating and they are a hoot to ride... cinders and all.

Mike, Not only the lighter background but the perspective makes the engine standout. The fact that it is at a Y also makes it more interesting. Great shot.
