“Stormin’ Norman” is a narrow gauge (3’ 6”)  DD17 class steam locomotive built in Queensland, Australia, between 1948 and 1952.  It was restored in the 1990’s.

On my PC the images are different sizes. 

The standard PN presentation is 679 pixels wide whilst the original, larger image ( http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=14566472&size=lg ), is  1082 pixels wide.

A fine image of a great old chugger.  We have a few of these still operating and they are a hoot to ride... cinders and all.

Oooh I missed this one. Very nice PP work Mike. The train seems emphasized by the lighter surroudings.

Mike, Not only the lighter background but the perspective makes the engine standout. The fact that it is at a Y also makes it more interesting. Great shot.
