The cat looks pissed, I would be too. This is utterly ridiculous and gross!

She's not gross nor ridiculous. She's a Himalayan that needed to have a haircut. 

It is not the cat I am talking about, it is the silly sweater that is totally humiliating and embarrassing to the animal. It is not something that the cat had a choice with!

Sorry for sounding so mad , but this just really doesn't make it for me. When PEOPLE dress up animals, it seems a bit egotistical and perverse to me, that's all.

I think this is adorable and I can totally relate to this situation. I recently had to get a "lion's cut" for my cat Tomasina due to some matting on her long fur (a common problem with long haired cats). When cats get older and get arthritis, it is sometimes hard for them to keep up with the grooming on their own. Unfortunately it is getting a little cool for her now with that cut so I have thought of getting her a little sweater to warm her up. For now, she seeks out the sunny spots in the house and the blankets on the beds, and sits by the vent at the bottom of the refrigerator to keep warm. The expression on the cat in this photo is very typical for the breed because of their small nasal passage - often they can look "pissed" even when they are not. I think it is thoughtful of the owner to keep the cat warm while letting the fur grow out...nothing horrible or gross about it! Lovely and well loved cat! Thank you for sharing. :)
