Thanks for viewing/comments! Took a long time to get a food shopping

shot like this one and I think I need a longer lens. :-)

This is a very well captures image.  A longer lens will be a lot more to wield about with in flight photos.  Perhaps a 1.4X might give you all you need, you would loose one stop, add only about a pound, and save nearly $2000.00 at least  Just my opinion, other's may vary.  Great shot, thank you for sharing.  Best regards...

Thanks Dave! Actually, I had taken the 1.4x TC off to take this short. I was loosing light (notice the ISO 800) and took the TC off so that I get the extra f-stop and faster focus. You are absolute right though, since there's no way I can handhold the 600mm F4 anyway.  The only reason that I get a lot of shot is because I shoot handheld most of the time. For this one, I was standing/perching on top of a 12X12 about 2 feet above the ground, the type that they put the guardrail to (at the end of a street) so that I can shoot over a chain link fence that's cover with some non-see-through tarp. It would have been very nice if I had more light since the focusing would have been faster and the shot would be more define. I am please, nevertheless since it's the shot I've been wanted to get (albiet a bit of lower quality).

She was close enough for the 500mm but after searching for the mouse she went further and further and this shot is a crop of 100%  expanded of the image and I normally like to have a downsize shot rather than max out (better viewing quality).
