photographypanoptikon 0 Posted February 13, 2012 Growing up in the Rocky Mountains of Western Canada and currently-living in the Coastal Ranges on the West Coast, I must say that these formations are a bit different than most of what I have seen. I love how firstly, the viewer is drawn to the "castle keep" of the towering spires before, secondly, noting how dwarfed the forest is by their sheer immensity. We then are taken aback to view the rocks as the Colossus they are. A true feeling of dimension that ambushes the viewer is presented here. Excellent effect and beautiful use of the golden hues of the forest to complement the dark stone. Bravo! Link to comment
Jim_Dockery_Photos 2 Posted November 12, 2015 Great shot. I love the distant ridge fading into the fall evening. I climbed that pinnacle back when I lived in Germany and it was a great experience. Link to comment
