gsphotoguy 3 Posted November 5, 2011 A very classic pose well executed, Alexander. The soft window light creates beautiful highlights and shadows emphasizing the curves of her body. Link to comment

Member69643 251 Posted November 5, 2011 I like this one a lot. I do wonder if you see much grain with the RZ and HP5+ at 16x20? My personal favorite B&W film is Acros and I can't help but wonder how such a beautiful model and great light might combine on that particular emulsion. I do love the low contrast, excellent tonal range you've achieved with HP5+. The pose, the light, all are superb in this image. Link to comment
ak-arts 0 Posted November 5, 2011 Thank you all for your comments! I really appreciate your input.Wolfeye, I must confess I've never tried Acros. I stick to the Ilford films, I've tried them all and HP5 was the one that gave me the best grain to dissimulate skin natural texture (and the flaws) resulting in a totally flawless and natural soft skin. It has a lot of grain and contrast, in fact (with the RZ67).I find HP5 with the T-Max dev very high contrasted when I use strobes, so I prefer to use it with very soft lights. It's also very nice with tugnesten lighting, very dramatic. For strob light I use FP4 125, it's very very sharp and it responds well to 6500k light.I've recently boughts some boxes of TriX400 from Kodak, I believe it will respond well with HC-110 and natural light, I've a big project comming, I will use TriX only. I hope it works well. Link to comment
charlie_baugh 0 Posted November 6, 2011 The model of course but your lighting, pose and compositions are very effective. Though I want more of the entire body including all of her legs, I'm happy with your choice for the greater detail in her upper body. Will we see more of this model? Regards, Charlie Link to comment
ak-arts 0 Posted November 6, 2011 Charlie, thank you! This is my favourite model and almost all of my works have been done with her. Just check the rest of my portfolio. ;) Link to comment
