This fungi is shown here at its full ripe stage, shortly before collapsing into an unappetizing mass & disappearing from sight after having distributed its spores all around - the only purpose of the exercise.

November is the time of the year when fungi appear in the forest.

so it was four years ago, like again this ear. it's so amazing that every year there are always different variaties in comparison to earlier years.

a forest can only exist when enough fungi are present to support the tree root system with their underground mycelium.
