Dominic,

I am sure you had to be balanced on a step-ladder or something to get this, and I commend you for all of your effort.

However the image suffers from a problem called foreshortening of perspective.  Her feet are enormous compared to her head.  If you stand in front of a mirror and hold your hand out toward it, you will see the effect get worse as you stand closer to the mirror and see the effect lessen as you stand farther away. (Your hand appearing in the mirror as bigger, equal, or smaller than your face, depending upon your distance.)

You needed to be farther away from your subject (taller ladder, longer lens, etc.)  Since you probably had a 8 foot ceiling, a saw would be necessary too (joking).   An alternative might be to photograph this with a fairly wide lens and then use "distortion" in Photoshop to try to correct it. Or find a bathroom with a very tall ceiling.

Perhaps the best way would be to have the model put her feet down to the bottom of the tub and try to hold the camera so that her face and feet were about equal distance from the camera.

Regards,

Jerry

Jerry,

First of all, thanks very much for your interesting comments. I of course understand your point of view regarding the problem of perspective, but I shot Adelina with this angle on purpose: I wanted to enhance her magnificent legs & feet. That's also why I didn't try to correct this foreshortening of perspective with Photoshop. The point is that I actually wanted to try to find new perspectives, new angles, and I don't really believe both Adelina's head & feet  are out of proportion...

Well, as you said, I would have needed a taller ladder or a higher ceiling to get better proportions, but I could also have chosen to shoot right above the model, but once again, it wasn't my goal...

I anyway hope that my explanation will be acceptable to you.

Regards

Dominic
