Thanks Dominick! Believe it or not, I never did see the attacker (could have been a Says Phoebe but seems larger). I was shooting the Kestrel and saw the wings movement, hence, I keep squeezing kwowing there's a commotion. When it's done the Kestrel lower the wings and I check my shots to find 3 shots of the attacker coming up (barely shown) from lower section of the image, this one and then just the tail at the left edge of the 3rd frame.  I don't believe one can time this type of shot, it's pure luck!

I wish the back guy was clearer but not with the 1.4x TC on at close distance and even without the 1.4x TC I would have to close down at least 2,3 stop to get something more recognizable.

Great pose.  Attacker looks to be a kingbird.  They are notorious for attacking raptors, ravens, and crows.  Guess thats why they are called the kings.
