Ohhh  boy! I wouldn't pick a fight with this photographer. Holding those lens. . . . !? Very good shot.

Cheers.

She does look pretty stable though Vlad - I toyed with an alternate title of "Bipod" as that was what her stance immediatlely brought to mind  :)

Thanks all for your comments.

This professional was out at the edge of the taxi-way all day in the hot sun and hand-holding either this monster or what looked like a smaller but still heavy professional 70-200’ish zoom.  Every few minutes she would put down the camera (resting it vertically on the huge sun-shade) and shake some life back into her wrists and arms.

Really the joke about monopods is a bit unfair given how close she was to the action and the rate of change of angle as the aircraft flew by; a monopod would have been very hard to cope with.

All kudos to those willing and able to put in the effort!

Cheers

This is really dynamic - I can't believe her wide stance!  Maybe that's to help her brace her elbow on her hip, and maybe it's easier for a lady to adopt that kind of stance... that would hurt me more than the weight on my wrists!!!

Nice capture by you!

Thanks Donn, Christal and Margo for your kind words.

Christal, that's something that never occurred to me... I'm not sure how I would go about it though.

Cheers,

Mike

I'm afraid I can't advise you about this, but you could simply ask around on the forums.  There are a bunch of smart people on this site, and they always come through for me when I have questions.  Alternatively, you should just buy a few magazines and look for the editing and marketing info.  I'm sure there is a way to submit a photo to them.  I'm sure they would have certain requirements, which may mean working up another version of this without the frame and signature.  Good luck.  It's really a great shot!

Oh. LOL now there's a discreet street photography lens if I ever saw one. Nice capture. Thanks for the smile of the day.
