It is an apocalyptic image for me, and keep looking at the post, sin, what can be the meaning of it. Specially, the two hammer, in my knowledge, represent the working class, but the number an enigma to me. Very effective image, for the mind.

Lovely dreamy image, the soft blues like an ethereal enveloping mist in a place where no sounds can be heard only the faint muffled footfalls of the person following you. The sign like a beacon showing the way home.

Let me give you an explanation on the sign (in accordance with what I found on the Web): This photo was taken at the Rhine Falls, Schaffhausen, Switzerland. After sunset, the Rhine Falls are nicely illuminated, from 10-11 pm they're covered by blue light.

The sign which was erected amid the falls is supposed to mark two historic events of extreme draughts (in 1880 and 1953) when the falls could be crossed by foot.

The entire scene is pretty well known among photographers and has been captured numerous times so far (a couple of times by night as well). I got intrigued by the awesome atmosphere which particularly emerges after sunset by the contrast of the tiny and somehow strangely looking sign positioned amit the gigantic falls...

It's great to know what the sign means.  It really does look like those old signs on railroad lines.  They also use holes in the metal instead of paint, so they will last a very very long time.  best, j
