jimvanson 0 Posted April 24, 2003 Curtis Joe Fancy Dancer Extraordinaire Mothers Day Pow Wow 1997. Curtis is a gentleman in every sense of the word. And his sense of humor exceeds his 7 foot tall plus stature as in his Fancy Dancing regalia he towers over lesser mortals. XP2 Super records him; Grain Surgery adds a little grit. Cheers. kris_bennett 0 Posted April 24, 2003 GREAT shot! The reflection in his eyes really sets off the look on his face. He looks very speculative in this shot. Terrific work! Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted April 24, 2003 Very good portrait. Nice job on the eyes. Unfortunately I think the grain hurts it. He appears to have interesting texture in his face and I think the grain hides it. The grain also blends his face into the background in spots. Got one without the grain? Please post it if you do. It is one super portrait Link to comment
bgelfand 1,235 Posted April 24, 2003 Good sharp focus with very good exposure values and lighting. A very nice use of grain and texture. Link to comment
sandra_dhee 0 Posted April 24, 2003 Fantastic shot of a great guy, this portrait does a good job at hinting what Curtis is really like; notice that gleam in his eye? Link to comment
gareth_harper 0 Posted April 25, 2003 You must be using that grain doctor again Jim. XP2 is never this sharp! Great shot, beautiful photoshopping. Link to comment

scott bulger 0 Posted April 27, 2003 Jim, this is a very good portrait, but I think you are a victim of your own success in that htis one doesn't seem to wuite measure up to the bulk of your portrait I have seen. I still like it and it's better than a good portion of portraits on this site, but it's not in you top echelon. Link to comment
jim_herriott 0 Posted May 24, 2003 i might lighten the background up a little. But really good. Link to comment
