A very evocative picture.  The light, color and the atmosphere, all work ideally here and along with the "scattered" objects  make your protagonist "shine" better in this very well composed shot.  Bravo Katerina!

I really like your work. It is very inspirational. I have only one small suggestion on this image. I would like to see a version with the model looking into the frame a bit more.

Frankly, I don't see an old movie. Unless we are talking about Fellini. Maybe "Juliet of the Spirits." Which I don't count as an old movie. An Absurdist or Surrealist play--yes. This looks more like a stage set than a movie set. Whatever it is supposed to be it is nicely done. It hangs together very well to create a mysterious story. The lighting is perfect. The woman is perfect. The fog is perfect. So what is the story? She is leaving her weird husband because she is tired of sleeping on a bed without a mattress. But one shoe is off. She has second thoughts. Maybe sleeping on a bed without a mattress isn't such a bad thing after all. The existential problem of anguish and despair! And the bed creaks without a mattress. All night it creaks. The neighbors complain. Think you got problems, she tells them.

The photograph is a brilliant little fantasy. It goes to show: If you want to do photographic fiction go all the way.

If this is fiction photography then why not... the set up, the atmosphere, the colors and lighting make it a superb shot. I think it's an excellent construction and execution and the work is quite inspiring. Alex brilliant comment made me smile and reminded me of another squeaking bed in Visconti's film the leopard magnificently played by Burt Lancaster. Katarina keep your inspiration flowing, you are a real artist and best wishes. Bachir

Where do I go? Where & who can I turn to next? A feeling of despair & all is lost comes across as well as a bit of fear of the uncertain. Nicely executed shot.
And no, I don't give a damned if it was staged. Some times these POW's are nitpicked until they are shredded

This picture tells a story...and this is, what I particularly like. Best regards, Olaf

I find it more style than substance. It's not my cup of tea. I, too, like fiction, but fiction stretches from Dickens to Harlequin romances and is sometimes more picturesque than gripping.
