morey_kitzman 0 Posted April 24, 2003 Compare this to another version taken minutes before with the sun not visible in my folder Best Images. I had to remove a lens flare, but other than that the image is true to the slide. Does it work better with or without the sun? Thanks. Link to comment
jimmcnitt 0 Posted April 24, 2003 I like the delicacy of the previous version, but they are both utterly spectacular. Link to comment
michael_wagner2 0 Posted April 26, 2003 Both are terrific. The sun not only adds an element, but the colors on the sandstone seem slightly improved. Link to comment

stefanovandelli 0 Posted April 26, 2003 I prefer the one taken with the Mamiya, but they are all rather spectacular. Great place for photography. Cheers, SV Link to comment
charles_miller 0 Posted April 26, 2003 The geometry and color contrast give a superb immediate impression. THe image continues to entertain with a sense of depth, awe, and mystery. Link to comment
amason 0 Posted April 27, 2003 Very beautiful image. If I can say something, then I would have liked to see the opening closed at the right side, just like the left side. And maybe a bit more cropped at the top and then to see a bit more below the bottom. The sun is great placed there. Well done otherwise! Link to comment
gfueredi 0 Posted April 27, 2003 I am really sorry that I didn't go to Mesa arch in the dawn of the day I left Moab. I now know what I missed. This is a spectacular image and I have seen many of these, none is better. I love the foreground and the layering of the underlying canyons. Link to comment
samiam 0 Posted April 27, 2003 I like the sun; it adds a nice touch to the picture. As an aside, I consider removing lens flare a "manipulation". Link to comment
richard thompson www.fotoz 0 Posted April 30, 2003 Wow ! What a photo. Absolutely stunning. You get 7/7 from me. (I think the shot *with* the sun is better - because it adds something to the otherwise black arch roof.) I love the varying tones of mountains below, and the warmth felt. miles_hecker 0 Posted April 30, 2003 The sun adds a strong point of focus to this image making it's composition much stronger than the sunless version. IMO this is clearly the better of the two. Well done!. Link to comment
robert_tilden1 0 Posted May 5, 2003 Would like to see more light on the stone, but this photo stands on it's own. Link to comment
simonepellacani 0 Posted May 7, 2003 I love this shot, especially the colors of fog. It's unreal! Link to comment
guytal 0 Posted May 8, 2003 Perfectly executed - definitely a wall hanger. Still, hard to rate this icon of Canyonlands high on originality. Link to comment
