Outstanding work again Pauline. I love the effect you created. I would love to see a tutorial on how you use and blend these nice textures in your image.  Great image - michel

The colours and the sophisticated texture of your created background are in harmony with the main subject of the picture. Vignetting works well, it directs our view to the central part of the image. Beautiful, original picture, congratulations!

Beautiful work. The similarity of the background and the bird make for a very daring, yet extremely successful piece.

gorgeous bird in great posture. be careful of dark shadows around the outline of the bird. select the bird, feather the selection and lightly airbrush those. i like the goya-like effect of elongating the flamingo's legs.

Another beautiful image Pauline, have to say I admire your work so much, especially how you've managed 'layers'. They have certainly added a great personal 'touch' to  your compositions.

But also, I WANT TO CONGRATULATE YOU.....I piced up the October 20ll edition of Digital SLR photography, and much to my delight, there you were among the first pages, with 3 of your beautiful images displayed. The 'Toucan' (double spread);I first was observing this beautiful image with the lovely layers that had been used, marvelling at the detail and overall 'awesome image', yet it seemed familiar. Then of course I checked out the Photographer, and it was YOU !!!!

I felt so proud for you! Perhaps it's being a PN member, but it was almost as if a 'member of my family' had received this distinction! I turned the page and there was your Lion "Supremely Beautiful', and your 'Portrait of a Rhea'.

You must be delighted with having these images in this fine magazine, I certainly am delighted for you! congrats Pauline! You deserved the recognition!

With the warmest wishes, Gail
