Tony, those colours are amazing. I assume that you have more like this. I would be inclined to crop from the top to the first ledge. The rock in the top RH corner looks a little flat compared to the rest of the image and the crop would diminish the impact.

Many thanks - Jeff I will do the crop and have a look at it - thanks for the opinion. I had it up for rating a couple of days ago and the best it could do was a 4. I deleted it which is a standard policy I have but in this case I happen to like it enough to reload here. I may put it up for rating one more time to see if it is any different the next time around.

Very good composition with that digonal lines.  Very good light.  Sharp and clean.  Great work.  Best regards,

Tony, take a look at some of my ratings. I almost use them as a reverse indicator these days. I'm surprised that this image didn't do well. It has light, colour and action - an almost certain guarantee. I think that it is safe to say that the only use of ratings is to gain exposure to a wider audience.

I came back to rate it and I still think this is a great shot.  The composition is fantastic in the sense that the water makes me feel the movement going through the rocks.  Very clear and sharp.

Beautiful image. I love the texture and softness in water. Mostly I find water too soft. This seems so perfect!

Best wishes... Sandeep

Patsy, Mari,  Ruud, Wanghan, Jeff, GungaJim, Richard, Joscelyn, John C, Sandeep - my apologies for my late response. I have been on the road and away from home for non-photographic reasons. All of your comments and ratings are very much appreciated. This autumn has blown by me and I simply did not get to do as much of that type of photography.  Yesterday as I drove from New York to Montreal, there was nothing but heavy rain,  almost freezing temperatures and some snow flurries. I kept my eyes open for photo opportunities but there were very few. All the best,

PS This is an image I plan to print and hang in my office!

So much been said here at a time where this amazing image deserve it all, the slow shutter speed effect is very appealing, the well balanced exposure has also a great impact on the image well thought off composition.

Thank you for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.

Koushik - glad you liked the colors.

PDE - the zig-zag was something I was looking for when i captured the image. I am glad you spotted it and found it pleasing.

Lee - you have certainly described in detail what you liked about the image and that is appreciated. I will look at the tech details and pass them on to you. Just want to let you know that the speed of the water is a factor when choosing your shutter and if I remember correctly, I experimented with different shutter speeds.

Lloyd - glad you liked it.

Rashed - great comment

Guy - thanks for the kind words - I had a chance to visit your portfolio and i like the one with the little girl in her pajamas.

Very encouraging even to come cross it second time.  Just love the "S" curve, with the contract and a lot of details of the water and the static rocks.  Best Regards,
