great idea-- and it's really been rendered well. the natural part (the maple leaf) actually seems softer and more impressionistic than the glass background. bravo.

Nicely done! I like the whole compositon. I think the white tones on the right provide an even greater range of tonality and brightness, a full pallet of soft pastels. Elegant and refined work!
