These Hoodoos reminded me of mummies or ancient pillars like you see

in the ruins in Egypt. The reflected light just makes the the whole

image glow. This was taken at Sunset Point in Bryce Canyon around four

in the afternoon. It's an HDR consisting of three exposures.

This is a great example of when HDR comes into it's own, providing excellent detail and lighting in what would have been shaded area's of the image. I like the trees at the top of the image too they add great colour, life and scale to the shot, a bit more of them would have been nice, but suffice to say this is a thoughtfully processed image!

Nice work Leo!

I agree with you completely, Alf, the HDR is almost a necessity if you want to capture all of the lighting that you see with your eyes. I took several sets of this particular setting, but chose this one with the sun shining on the foreground hoodoos. It requires multiple exposures to tame the lighting completely. The reflecting light in Bryce Canyon is a real treat to witness. Thanks for you encouraging words Alf, I do appreciate them.

I remember that I had a little trouble getting the Pixel Bender installed too. I can't remember what exactly the problem was but there was one. Anyway glad you finally got it and I will be most interested in seeing what you do with it. Keep me informed, Pierre!

My bad, Jeff, you're right, we visited three locations that afternoon and we were having trouble remembering which was which.
