Back from an amazing trip to the far north mountains shooting the

Aurora for a couple weeks. A good description of the trip and how the

images were made is on my first post. Note the difference in sky

color in this shot due to the added light from the half moon,

illuminating the scene!

Thanks guys. It's funny how I spend my life chasing moments so rare they are barely believable to some who might never have seen something like them?  Sure, there is a lot of digital DOF blending that goes into something like this but every single tiny element you see in this pic was exactly here at the moment the capture was made.  My tent and campsite is just to the lower right of the frame here, and here I waited for four days to get the shot.  My only regret about this one was the fact I had to shoot at 28mm, excluding a LOT of great Aurora all around me for this point of view.  Thanks for your comments!

Mark:  Really wonderful picture.  The composition works.  I wouldn't worry about the part you didn't get - we don't know about that and the picture works very well as is.  The aurora also cooperated as the arcs blend well in the composition.  You ought to explain how you do the DOF sharpness, it really does wonders in many of your pictures.  Thanks.  Alan

The best from you in a long long time and, a look back to your photography 3-4 years ago.  The framing is exceptional and the light to be waiting.  No nits are possible.

It has a touch of your past ones which I like the most.  Avoiding (not in blend or so) the artifacts you use in post processing lately being more far from "real" photography.  Just my honest opinion.

I hope it will be a back to your days on slide photography with care for the best and each ended shoot from the camera.  Again the best Adamus.  7/7.

Shocking, brilliant, dramatic, technical, moody....it is complete. We are watching a phenomenon in you Marc. You are changing the game. Galen Rowell would be impressed I'm sure. Best, Jeremy
