A Walking Track Near My Home in Sydney
24mm f2.8 lens, 4 panels stitched with Panavue software. I was trying to capture a transparency-like light, while using a digital camera. I used my Pentax analog spotmeter to derive the exposure, The D100 was set to "low contrast" tonality, "fine" JPEG image quality (this is useful as, for the life of me, I can't tell the difference between "RAW" (NEF) files and "Fine" files... except that "Fine" files are loadable with any editing software and you need special Nikon software (or 3rd party expensive software) to upload "RAW" (NEF) files. Some work was done in Photoshop to get the best "print" (but nothing more than what qualifies as "dodge and burn"). The rules say I have to state this image - being stitched from four originals -is "not un-manipulated".
A word on detail...Although I can't prove this statement (upload limits on images apply): the detail here is wonderful. In fact, this is a detail picture, practically an abstract at this smal size, but full of depth at native resolution.
