Christal...  From the new camera and new computer?  Boy, y'all grow some strange looking pumpkins up there.  Very colorful and holiday appropriate...  Mike

Very nice. I decided to darken and lighten selectively (used to be called dodge and burn). Hope all is well.

Yup: Michael, I also see the strange pumpkin (*_*)

Thanks for your visits and comments.  I like your changes Tony....it's an improvement.  But to be honest, I wasn't very happy with this image.  I decided to submit it only because it was easily accessible and it was 'the season'.  Besides, it's so much more fun on PN when I'm contributing images as well as commenting on images of my friends.  These were actually ceramic pumpkins, and I took this through a glass window.

This was taken on Oct. 1st on the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk.  About 1000 different cities from around the world had walks in their respective communities.  Our local leader designated a particular location, and we had to see what interesting shots we could come up with in a 2-hour period of time.  It was challenging.  This was not in an area I would ordinarily think to go for photography.  But it was a gorgeous day and it got me out shooting at least! Do you know if your communities participated?

Mike....alas, no new computer yet.  Shipment was delayed, and it finally came a couple of days ago.  But now I have to learn Windows 7, and then Lightroom 3.  I don't want to start doing anything on the computer until I know what I'm doing so I don't muck things up on it.  I'm just swamped in other areas of my life, so it will happen when it happens.  :-)   In the meantime I'm using my little MacBook with i-photo.  I didn't even know how to reduce an image size on it.  But (as has happened many times in the past), I asked how to do it in one of the PN forums, and I got my answer.  The problem was, when I reduced the size, I couldn't then go back and edit it, and it ended up being not very sharp.  I'll eventually try to improve this when I get the new editing program up and running......can't wait!!!

Sorry for the long post......so good to hear from you all!

Sorry, I'm just now seeing your comment.  Just wanted to let you know that these are ceramic (breakable) pumpkins.  Real ones don't look like this.  :-)  Although my 'farm boy' husband will tell you that there are many different varieties of pumpkins.....but to most of us they all look rather the same......just different sizes.  Thanks for your visit.
