GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted October 11, 2011 Beautiful capture of such a lovely hummingbird Monte. Exceptional color, lighting, attention to very fine detail in the plummage (the wings are just so delicate!). The lovely soft DOF is the perfect backdrop for this beautiful specimen.Congrats Monte, you've done it again! My warmest regards, Gail Link to comment

Giangiorgio Crisponi 458 Posted October 12, 2011 You have frozen a magic moment, very good the contrast of the bird and flower with the complementary colour of the blurred background. It is a pity for me in our country dont' live those beautiful little birds, Do you find them free in nature?, ciao Giangiorgio. Link to comment
knobby6 1 Posted October 12, 2011 Yes, california has lots of hummingbirds flying around feeding on flowers, as was this one. 'Free in nature' as you put it. Link to comment
