This is a lovely landscape and in one of my favourite area's, although I'm not familiar with this particular Tarn. I like the warm tones and the reflected clouds and tree. There is a great sense of peace and tranquility that for me is the essence of the Lake District (in the more remote parts of course) Just a couple of suggestions: - The tree and its reflection I believe is a key element to this image, therefore it would be worth trying to find a perspective that seperates it from the hill behind and allows a seperate reflection. walking to the left may have achieved this but of course only you will know if it was possible. But suffice to say I like this very much as it is.

Best Regards

Nice image Richard.  Lovely tones and colors.  Very serene mood.  Alf has a point about the lone tree but it is still beautiful as is.  Regards always - michel

Thanks Michel

Alf, you are right the composition is not so great, you need a good reflection to get the best out this place, the classic is having Blencathra reflected in it, unfortunately it was quite breeze so this was one of the stiller moments, the link below is an older image but with maybe more of what you were thinking?.

Thanks Rich.

Thank you for responding and providing the link, the attached image does indeed represent the seperation I was talking about, but for that peaceful mood and serene atmosphere this remains my favourite.

Best Regards

Alf
