Hi Ryan,

A very good technical use of the settings. The "ray pattern" is due to the diffraction of the lens iris blades set to F/11 and any interference of the tree branches of the Sun light.

The results are a nice scattering effect (another Physics function) in the foggy atmosphere that provides the blue hue and the striking pattern among the trees.

This image could be the basis of two chapters of the  Physics of Light that I used to teach at the local University many years ago.

Very very good. I like it.

Good composition, colour and mood.

I'd love to see the same shot with a slightly faster shutter speed to bring out a bit more contrast. I think the pastel colours should be retained but a little more punch would help this image even more.

Just my opinion. Well done.
