This is certainly something new for me to view.

The fungi jumps out at you for sure.

Nice shot.

If I had your setup, I would have used F/5.6, since the 55 mm lens at this working distance would have provided ample DOF. The scene definition would have been improved by the wider f-stop, too.

Hi Mike,

on a long walk over high hills (680 m+ MSL) I only carried my camera with one multi-purpose lens... already fairly heavy to lug around.

I won't be in that neighbourhood shortly &, BTW, now snow is already covering that area.
