A snoozing Black Swan

This snoozing Black Swan gave me the opportunity to sneak up quite close. Being all ready to shoot, I gave a gentle cough.... to get the above image. For my troubles, I also received a major "hisss" before it plunged into the lake and paddled away.

Great story and great photo........its a wonder you didn't get more than a hiss!

I love the layers of colour and light from the swans plumage and the eye is bright and alert. Very well done Grayham, you are a braver man than me! but definately worth the risk in this case.
