This 'street' scene from one of Paris's less touristy districts, shows a

municipal maintenance worker disappearing down a private drive

through a courtyard and a young man bicycling past on a morning

commute to work or school. Your ratings, critiques and observations

are invited and most welcome. If you rate harshly, very critically, or

wish to post a remark, please submit a helpful and constructive

comment; please share your photographic knowledge to help

improve my photography. Thanks! Enjoy! John

John, I will take this photo as a learning opportunity. I'd like to know what struck you about this scene as you shot it.

For once, I will remain quiet and listen. :)

Balance.  The precise moment.  Depth or multiplanar view, as I searched older captures.  I see it needs a little counterclockwise rotation (lens issues possibly as extreme left seems perfectly aligned according to aligned signs)

Looking at it, I felt I am in Paris again! I have no verbal way to describe this feeling, but somehow you've caught what for me is essential Paris.

This one of those photos that one critic seemed to question 'why did you post it -- tell me, please?', and I was at a loss for words, but perhaps your comment places those words best, and I should just incorporate them in my answer to him (Samrat Bose, are you reading?).
