Great lighting and composition, wonderful colors and overall mood of late afternoon or early morning, one never knows and can't be told for sure when a photo is in question!

Best regards Lester!

Very nice seascape with rich and interesting rock textures Lester. Nice warm lighting too. Best regards and my compliments.

Very beautiful seascape Lester, your In Camera and Editing Skills 'shine' in t his composition! Just lovely. The 'light' is so beautiful as it 'kisses' the rocks and brings out their 'faceted' highlights.

Nice work,

Kins regards, Gail

I love this kind of very late light that hits just some of the surfaces directly but is not too strongly contrasted with the areas that don't receive direct light.  It's just superb light.  The texture of the rock is striking on its own, but it's perfect for this time of day.  I also like your composition -- just the right amount of sky.  Very nice work.

Thank you for the expert opinion, Stephen. I would wish to come back to this place in Southern California and see if it gives a different lighting perspective at sunrise.

Best regards!

I would just like to add to Sephan's comment in that one of the things that makes the light so outstanding here is that it adds a warm element to the rock, a substance that is usually portrayed as cold and hard and contrasts here so beautifully with the 'cold' water in the background.
