mushrooms Fungi on branch

Different colors of fungi in a branch of a crab apple tree. Interesting combination of colors and textures. Thoughts / comments appreciated.

I like the picture a lot, but I think it would be better if the part that is out of focus on the right side of the picture had been left out.

Nice composition. Good sharp colors. Very good macro. Imagine if the background had been greenish. Say, tree leaves, and with that DOF and the golden fungi. But the bit of blue in the background is good with the golden color, too. I might crop this a bit tighter on the top and on the right. Although a top crop would take out the blue color.

Hmmmmm, I am not sure which I like better. The cropped one takes away the unfocused part on the right side. It brings out the blues of the fungi more also. It keeps the blues at the top too. I do think I have convinced myself that I like the crop better. Of course, its become a phallic symbol, though. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. :)))
