Indeed superb lighting here and you did bring the atmosphere of this place in you image remarkably while the B/W format has also emphasized the beautiful appearance, the details are so fine and the present of the people do add the feelings of life to the image and well rise the value of your composition.

Thank you for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.

wonderful moody nightly scenery. The lightning is just perfect. Funny is the tilting column to the left. Best regards.

Ciao Niki! Ottimo lavoro: la composizione è buona e una bella luce illumina la parte più interessante della scena (i tre che parlano). Complimenti e saluti.

Hi Niki,

I appreciate the technical use of your zoom lens set to 32mm at F/2.8.

Not only is F/2.8 the obvious choice for available light shooting, but it does provide the very best image characteristics that a lens has to offer (unless the lens has problems or is not well made).

It is unfortunate that many PN photographers use excessive f-stops, like F/11 to F/22 to capture scenes in daylight, since the loss in definition is a function of f-stop used. Part of the problem is that  users allow the camera to make the choices for them, rather than really learning the basics of f-stop for light control, DOF and image quality. They are not not the same parameters by a long shot !

Again, a very nice image taken here.

Best Regards,  Mike

Your portfolio of B/W photos is impressive. I especially like this one because it captures de stillness of the night and the quiet atmosphere of this town. The lighting in the street into darkness and the very bright light make this a very interesting tonality range. A superb image.
