Niki, this is very well done, one would not know it was at a zoo had you not mentioned it, Composition is strong, and teh post process work is spot on.

This is not simple but very powerful b/w image and so great technically, the lighting is remarkable and so the details are so fine while the contrast and tone are superb and of great add to the appearance of this work.

Thank you my friend for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.

Nice composition. What makes it very nice of course is the black background.

Is that how it was taken or "worked-on" later??

Hi Niki,

This is certainly an excellent BW image.

However, the outstanding technical quality is due to the fact that you used a 200mm lens at F/2.8 While I do not know if it is Nikkor lens (not mentioned in the Details) , the superb contrast and sharpness of the Nikkor 200 (fixed or zoom) ED shot at F/2.8 is well documented.

Best Regards,  Mike

Hello Niki,

Fantastic touching shot.  The mother (or father)  and child are very touching, the black background fits the subject well.
