It is somehow like a kind of painting, although no filter used is visible, only maybe HDR and if it is HDR then it is a good example how to use it! Congratulations my friend!

Best regards Wanghan!

This is our first to visit Kootenay National Park which is the neighbor of

Banff National Park. We only visited it during the day: sometimes

cloudy and sometimes with the sun.

Thanks for your comments. Best Regards,

The well chosen perspective / composiiton allows a jouney through the trees to the distant mountains beyond. Not the easiest of shots with extremes of light from the water and the sky and deep shadows in the rocks, but you have handled it very well.

This is a very nice perspective, and as Alf noted you've done a great job with the very wide range of light.  I lived in Montana just south of here (on the Kootenai River).  Northwest Montana is one of my favorite places, but I must go north and see some of this beautiful country.

Fantastic perspective! I also wonder if it is an HDR image. But HDR or not, very well done!

Wanghan,

This is a very interesting image, which makes me keep thinking where is this place:-) The composition is nice - the narrow stream provides a good leading line to the mountain peak.

A minor point from me: there seems to lack some contrast between the foreground and background. I would prefer to make the foreground darker but still remain details.

Cheers,

Yan

Yan,

Thanks a lot.  I know your point now.  I will be more careful about it in the future.  I am at the learning stage, and your comments help us a lot.  Best Regards,

Yes, it's like a painting!  The water color is so unusual it impacts the entire composition.  Well done.

very good image and I cannot add anything new based on the previous comments. All the best and keep up the excellent work. You sure get around.

Wanghan,

I've been to Numa Falls several times; it is a great place and a challenge to photograph.  In this photo I like the shutter speed and contrast around the water & rocks.  The upper third is a bit off (perhaps too much processing?), but I think you could have a real winner here if processed less harshly.  All the best, Jeff

Jeff,

Thanks a lot for your kind encouragement.  You are absolutely right.  we will try to do it better.

We went to Banff area 3 times by driving from California, and we do love the beautiful place or places.  We will visit it after our retirement and would try to stay longer.

Best Regards,
