marc_dilley1 0 Posted September 30, 2011 A sunset shot of the Tetons from Lake Solitude in the national park. I'm on the fence about this one and would really appreciate some honest criticism here. Although Lake Solitude is a strikingly beautiful alpine tarn and it was awesome to be there, photographically it was challenging. The Tetons were squeezed between the ridge wedges on either side, and I couldn't find an interesting fg on the shore of the lake - only a perfect edge. As it is, I have dodged and burned this little in-flow trickle considerably. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. Link to comment
Art X Photography 1 Posted September 30, 2011 Nice shot Marc. the balance of land to sky ratio is nice capturing the essence of the scene Link to comment

matthew_purchase 0 Posted November 25, 2011 Nice photograph. I agree with your own observation that the foreground lacks a little punch. It is also maybe a little too dark? I think the reflection is great and the colours on the mopuntain are very striking. Did you post-process the sky? The edges between the mountain and the sky look almost unnaturally sharp and the reflection of the moon is missing or obscured? Link to comment
don_bizzaro1 0 Posted November 25, 2011 Nice shot, although I think a landscape format would have looked better. Still beautiful. Link to comment
mickey_anderson 0 Posted November 25, 2011 Hey Marc, We fell in love with the Tetons a few years ago. Such a beautiful place. Other than being just a tad-bit dark, which I believe, if lightened, would bring a little more punch to the foreground, I'm impressed with the capture. Nice work. Cheers for the Holiday Season!
