Not surprising--it was the extraordinary light that brought me outside, not the "beauty" of this steet.  The actual sky colors are not accurately represented on any shots in this sequence, as it turns out.

Its funny because when shooting movies on location they almost always wet the pavement down because it gives the road a better look even if you don't really notice it usually has been wet a bit

If this were in color the wet pavement and nice colors in the sky probably would have given this photo a great range of color. Without those colors though this photo is missing a strong subject as far as I am concerned and kind of looks like a photo of a nice shiny road.

The compositional ideas were great, the road and wires leading down to a beautiful sky would have made for a nice picture.

Great idea here. If this is a RAW photo you can still convert to color. If not wait for another rainy day with a nice sunset, reshoot and you will have yourself a gem.
