PeterKrenek 26 Posted September 28, 2011 A very good shot, Marc, good timing, exposure and composition and perfect postprocessing indeed. I wonder how you managed not to have any halos around the mountains that I would certainly get and you and Mark are able to avoid. I'd be grateful if you could shed some light into that. I suppose you did a series of exposures and blended, but I expect there has to be a bit of magic to get it right. Best regards. Peter Link to comment
marc_dilley1 0 Posted September 28, 2011 Peter In a nutshell Mark's technique involves making a selection on the stack with one of the selection tools, e.g. Quick Selection tool, then Refine Edge if necessary and then imposing a mask onto that layer. In this way you can work with numerous files in your stack. If they are Raw files that you have imported from ACR as Smart Objects, then you can shunt them back and forth into ACR for further mods at will. This is very powerful and gives you tremendous creative control. For details ask Mark. This image has nine Raw files and/or double processed files in the stack. The downside of all this stacking and layering is that your PS master file will be herker huge. The master for this image is 1.35 gigs! Link to comment
fernandosalas1 0 Posted September 28, 2011 Marc, I would like have this image on my portfolio, this is a real masterpiece, the exposure, composition and processing are just perfect. Excellente POV. Congrats. Link to comment
Daniel Álamo 0 Posted October 25, 2011 Some slower motion in the water should be perfect for me. The sun is some a distracting thing on this (just the light should be better, IMO). Colours and composition are perfect and, yet said, no clouds is not a problem here. The kind of photos I look for to shot. Each perfect. 6.5/7 Link to comment
