Lovely against the static background.  An "adam" person (female) a bit unformed like a spinning golem -- the head piece contributing to this look.  The legs where she used to be and the effects of the spin of her torso make this seem like she in in formation

SHANA TOVA

Pnina, I really like the solid core of the torso, the liquid feel of the limbs and the ethereal shadow that follows her. The forward momentum feels as though she is ready to ascend as she gradually dissipates. It conjures images from magic realistic literature.

All of you.

Donna and Tony I appreciate your detailed impressions.

Donna you mentioned the Golem...It was interesting as I work on another conceptual series ,connected to Kafka's story of the "Gilgul",(the man that turned to an insect) I'm sure you are familiar with this work. Shana Tova !

Tony, interesting as well to read your detailed impression. I think that this is the right way to  comment  on a work( I do it as well )as it tells the photographer a lot of his work, and how it is seen by the viewers.

Pnina, I have been missing this movement representation images of your's :). Though I think that the subject is a little bit more centered than it should be, my choice would go to a simpler 1/3 - 2/3s composition on this with the person placed on the left.

Take care,

Mário

This is like a moving sculpture. The black background works quite well here and the double image is effective. The lighting points us to her torso, though her facial expression reads quite well and the gesture of her moving hands is soft and very graceful.

This is how I imagine a butterfly's perspective of shedding its cocoon. Lovely and full of energy unwinding

Pnina,  I never grow weary of these dance motion shots as each has a unique flow and and leaves a singular impression. What makes the image work for me is the combination of precise sharpness underlying the magical softness of the overlain blur. This one gives rise to the thought that the dancer is possessed of more spirit than her body can contain.

Chiaroscuro in action. Great stuff, Pnina. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for these kinds of pictures if they are done well. Here the relative solidity of the torso anchors the swirl of motion from the clothing and the limbs.

Mario ,  I  appreciate your suggestion but I think that the dancer placement is not centered and is "swinging" between center and LHS like her dance  swirl.

Fred, Thanks for your nice interpretation and visit, I liked your feelings about this one.

Linda,  I liked your impression of a butterflyl's cocoon, good immagination.;-))

Gord, as usual your impression is eloquently expressed. In every dance I photograph I try some slow motion.( and I like yours).

Jack, I'm  glad to see  you again and glad you liked it as well, and the way you have expressed your impressions.
