September Sky

I will try to return to this spider's domain during a light rain... we

The spider; An animal that I appreciate for its contribution to nature but that I don't really like around me. This picture gives me the chills. That being said...

The sky in the background is very dramatic but I find the grass/hay in the foreground of the sky-background of the spider to be distracting to both elements.

The spider itself is well placed in the photo and the detail of the web is eye-catching. I would like to see what the picture would look like with the spider and just the sky behind it. The grass/hay may add an important element of contrast and depth to this photo but I am just curious as to the look of this photo in its absence. If I were going to buy this print for my wall it would be the hay/grass element that may talk me out of it.

Of course I understand with wildlife photography we can't have everything and that is what makes it so great.

Of course that is just my opinion, I could be wrong :)
