Hi Sam,

What a beautiful sight.

Nice job with the capture.

I wanted to see if the bright glare off the leaves could be controlled from this JPEG. I used the levels adjustment tools in CS5 . On the RAW image, it is more straight forward to do.

Best Regards,  Mike

Mike,

thanks very much for your appreciation & input. Bright red & reflecting, shiny  leaves are always difficult to present digitally, but I think the new cameras do a better job than the older ones.

Enjoy your photographer's weekend!

Cheer

Sam

Hi Sam,

You are correct. Over the years , the electronics powering the sensors have allowed for more dynamic range to be developed from a scene.

Saturation levels are effected by many factors, lens characteristics, ISO and exposure settings, RAW or JPEG conversion formats, ambient camera temperature, sensor geometry, faceplate coating , to name a few.

Every day is a photographic one for me. However, many of my images are done for some consulting project. Few are really posted on PN unless I have permission to do so. (all that non-disclosure stuff for my clients).

Best Regards,  Mike
