jeff.grant 0 Posted September 20, 2011 I'm just starting to push these images around a little and am very interested in feedback, thanks. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 20, 2011 This is beautiful, a booster or a painting well fit to hang on a wall, superb image and well exposed with very great sharpness and uniform colors, the idea of this composition is very appealing and so the image is well connecting with the viewers.Thank you for sharing it and wishing you all of the best. PeterKrenek 26 Posted September 20, 2011 I do like the shot, Jeff. The zig-zag diagonals of the streams of water rushing towards the ocean anchor the composition. The fine patterns created by the water flowing across the large dark flat areas contrast with the solid "glowing" stream. The blue and emerald hues work well together. I have nothing to suggest as an improvement. But maybe I see an alternative crop square (attached). Best regards. Peter Link to comment
jeff.grant 0 Posted September 20, 2011 Thanks Rashed and Peter. One of the attractions of this image for me is the flow of colour from top to bottom which is why I left it full frame. I suspect that you might be stunned to hear me argue against a square but it does happen occcasionally.i'm interested in the reaction to this image. So far, I have been fairly subdued with the colour but, looking at other, similar shots seem to be pushed further. Link to comment
PeterKrenek 26 Posted September 21, 2011 Jeff, do not get me wrong, I like the full frame better, for the same reason as you do. The crop was just an idea for an abstract alternative. Link to comment
jeff.grant 0 Posted September 21, 2011 Thanks Peter. I wasn't getting you wrong at all. I really appreciate you taking the time to present an alternative. Link to comment
