Well God is watching...? ;-)) You know Dave the problem is not religions, as the human race probably needed an imaginative power to explain different problems of existence, but what is bad is the religious establishments  in all of them, that are thinking they are the only mediators btween God and the communities/people. You are very well expressing  it in your photos connected to this subject, this one included !

I hope you are well.

Hah......Dave I think its a sign of irony. If God is watching He may certainly hope one could spell the name of His home correctly.

I love these kinds of photos and try to document them when I see them. I have one of a large cross seeming to beckon folks to God but the sign on the fence says No Trespassing. I may post it sometime.

Good job here.

Hum mm. . .  Very interesting "righting, on the wall". Specially, the correction of the 600 to 666. I like  the  barbed  wire in the top too.  How space full. eh?

Cheers.

The 666 painted over GOD grabbed my attention first. I didn't even see the mis-spelling until I read the title.

David, You should really think about putting a book together of these church/religion in America images.

that's the problem - if God were not watching but actively protecting, there would be no graffiti on the church.  Cheers, Micheal

I've finally reached the point where I have nothing to say. I've become an observor of the pinballs that careen around our world, each one setting a new force in motion. I guess all you can do is record the moment without judgement. The older I get, the more I think the whole social structure is merely some gigantic Rube Goldberg contraption and the only thing you can really do as you wander around cuckooland taking pictures is to make sure that your exposure is right and that you don't shake the camera when you push the shutter. This picture speaks for itself without further comment from me.
