hal_bruce 0 Posted April 13, 2003 The lower half of the image adds nothing to the composition. Scroll down and cut it off and the image is must more powerful and would score highter. I could be wrong but the clouds look as though they were added. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted April 13, 2003 Comments, ratings appreciated on this desaturated New Mexico church. Thanks. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted April 13, 2003 Clouds were not added--I'm not that sophisticated of a photoshop user!!! Link to comment
stephen hazelton 3 Posted April 13, 2003 I like the foreground- think the composition is great just the way it is. Link to comment
chuck_gallagher 0 Posted April 13, 2003 I like the foreground also. There is a lot going on in the middle of the photo and the open foreground provides a counterpoint to what is going on in the center. I am from NM and I do not recognize the ruins. Is this part of Salinas Nat. Mon? Link to comment
arden_howell 0 Posted April 13, 2003 I think that the composition is strong as is and if any thing were to be subtracted from the foreground it would only be the sliver of wall to the left of center. It is a powerful and well done image. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted April 14, 2003 Chuck, this is the Church at Quarai, which is one of the three churches of the Salinas Pueblo National Monument. If you're headed south from Albuquerque, it's the second church (the churches are spread out over about 30 or 40 miles). The weather was perfect when we got to this one--nice mixture of clouds and sun. Link to comment
