This photograph immediately struck me with amazing power.  Initially, I was attracted by the dark tonality and the amorphous appearances.  As I continued to view it, its symbolic nature hit me like the proverbial ton of bricks.  The subject in the frame clearly has the appearance of having suffered abuse - physical, mental, and possibly spiritual.  Her head is covered so as to conceal her identity.  Her lower body is naked.  And it appears that she has suffered mutiple lacerations, contusions, etc., on her legs.  She is forced to remain in a crouch position.  All of this, taken together, speaks to me of dehumanization.  What came to mind as the paradign of dehumanization is the Shoah

Amazing work..........

My best,

michael

Haunting and disturbing ........a nightmare rendition of torturous suffering and cruelty. The focal blur creating a dark tunnel that directs the minds eye to the horrific realisation of the victim.

Ingenius and thought provoking photography!

Best Regards

Haunting and yet disturbing;excellent use of light, powerful images blurred in the DOF, and the 'prisoner'............there are many out there, and it is too undortunate. You certainly 'struck' a chord in me.........right to the 'bone'!

Excellent composition to draw attention to the many unfortunate 'victimes' that we don't even IMAGINE exist.

Life isn't always pleasant..........but we have to seee images such as this once in awhile to remind us there are 'sick individuals' who roam our street and neighborhoods, not just the 'screens in movie theatres'.

Kindest regards, Gail
