Nikon 40mm DX Micro on D700 FX

Here I mounted the 40mm DX Micro onto a full-35mm-frame FX-format D700. I captured this image at f2.8 and the darkened corners are very obvious. Image quality outside of the DX area degrades as we approach the edges of the FX frame.
