Green Caps

Once the petals have gone, we can appreciate the green capsule stage

in the growing season of opium poppies.

Peter, this is one of those images that as a thumbnail  i almost missed.  the thumbnail shows none of it's grandeur, which is why i had not bothered to open it. when, because of boredom i finally opened it, what a pleasant surprise. really like your powerful sky, and when one looks at the field of poppies closely, you notice this is not just a stand of poppies, but appears to be a vast field of poppies. which makes one think are they being commercially grown for the drug market either legal or illegal. anyway as a flower image i really like how you have seen this and then been able to capture it. nice work!
