Guest Guest Posted September 8, 2011 You just proved once again my friend that you have the right eye for the streets sense and you have the technical understanding how to utilise them photographic wise as the case with this image and its lighting and composition quality.Thank you my friend for sharing it and wishing you all of the best. mike_palermiti 0 Posted September 8, 2011 Hi Ruud,A wonderful scene capture. The background brick pattern interests me. The bricks on either side of center show a higher contrast level, perhaps due to light fall from the lens/setting used. The bricks in the center of the scene are lighter tone, and lack the 'snap" between their placement from one another. If the Details had been shown, with the lens and settings used, I would know if the lens had anything to do with what I see. I have all of the lens from Nikon, Canon, and many other companies in my massive library of test data from my optical lab tests over the years. I also own most of the lens used here by PN memebers.Best Regards, Mike Link to comment
ruudalbers 0 Posted September 9, 2011 many thanks for your nice comments and compliments! Mike: I shot this with my EF 300mm f/4L IS USM, Iso 800, Aperture f/8, shutterspeed 1/640 with auto focus and auto exposure... Later I used Dfine 2.0 for noise reduction and Silver EfexPro2 black & white software.. I darkened the edges on the left and right side with the software...With best regards, Ruud. Link to comment
mike_palermiti 0 Posted September 9, 2011 Hi Ruud,Thank you for the explanation and tech data.I had first considered a wider field lens (closer range) with a faster f-stop that could easily exhibit light fall off across your format. There are few lens that would ever show light fall off by F/8 (vignetting), unless the format used was significantly larger than that of a 35mm camera. Best Regards, Mike Link to comment
