pnital 36 Posted September 6, 2011 My point in many of my works is to follow the light,( it is possible to see my presentation about it). This is my conceptual point of view. Thanks for viewing. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted September 6, 2011 Tough, but very tired, burdened, and almost imprisoned. I like the idea. Visually stark, but conceptually incredibly interesting. Link to comment

Donna Stavis 0 Posted September 7, 2011 Reminds me of Alon Eshel's last upload of a "clinic" in the Terezin Concentration Camp because they both have darkness interiors that are contrasted strongly with bright light from windows one can not see out of, suggesting prison. Link to comment
tonyfrench 0 Posted September 9, 2011 Pnina, I like the recurring element of the cord—what started as the figure dancing with it as an umbilical cord in #1, transformed into something noose-like wrapped around his neck in #4 and now it is draped over his shoulders in a regal fashion, like a heavy mantle weighing him down. The neatly folded items in his hand, perhaps the vestments from a previous image, held toward the light as though he is passing them on to someone or something not seen. Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted September 9, 2011 Came back to this, just to add on... he looks creepy Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted September 10, 2011 It is interesting to read your impressions, as it is not dancing ...but more stark as Jeff wrote. Interesting reading Tony, your thoughts about the cord" history", and Donna, prison/ creepy..and still it is a performer of conceptual art. Thanks as well,Pierre, Ruud, Kallol, Mario, and Linh. LenMarriott 9 Posted September 12, 2011 The thumbnail (& probably failing eyesight) led me to believe that this one was a window light bridal shot, the 'bouquet' being silhouetted against the window light. Good thing I viewed 'Larger'. Whatever, great use of the window which, while becoming a main element itself, provides a decent quality rim light for your subject. Best, LM. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted September 12, 2011 Thanks for your explanation of your impression. I photo this performer near this window light for sometime now. It is a very different kind of concept for me as well, and a challenge. It is a small example of what I do with his work, but I find it an inspirational way to explore. Link to comment
LindaM 2 Posted September 15, 2011 Those ropes look so heavy, but it does look like he is delivering some of his burdens to the light. A vey thoughtful and thought provoking image. Link to comment
