Pinnacles

Experimenting with extreme close-up photography. This is the center

of a wild thistle flower. Shot at f/32 for maximum DOF. The only

editing to the shot was a little cropping.

I can say that the experiment has succeeded. I really like the soft light and darker purple tones. Together with the DOF I really like this picture. I'm guessing you did the cropping to keep everything centered on the core of the flower? Nicely done!

Excellent composition. Depth of feild is not quite all there, but never the less, a very good shot. I'm amazed that I can get better shots with my Nikon digital 990 over my F100. I like this shot though.

Very nice!. They look like a bundle of lighter fiber optics. You managed to keep a nice amount of them is sharp focus and I find the 'S' line they follow from the lower left corner to be a very strong compositional aid. The only minor thing to correct would be the little patch of green visible at the lower right corner. I think you could even get rid of the lower row.
