Pierre, I try to follow the rule of thirds, but sometimes I break the rule. In this case I felt the image got an extra dynamic dimention when I set the horison so high. You get more feeling of how far away the top is and how difficult it is to get there. This is an interesting discussion, and I'm glad you mentioned it.
