starvy 7 Posted January 28, 2012 Only you know why Mark! What I like about it is actually the vintage feel. Just before looking at this picture I was watching the biopic of Betty Page. The imagery of the film and the atmosphere of a shoot from that era seems to have been well replicated here. Well done. Link to comment
sonneland 0 Posted January 28, 2012 mark, terrific image, that thin dark line on left side really gives your image a nice balance. your model is gorgeous and the softness here is well applied. very nice work indeed! Link to comment

gsphotoguy 3 Posted January 28, 2012 Thank you all for the comments.Starvy - One of the reasons I like photographing models in B&W on film is the feel that results. I'm pleased this reminds you of Bettie Page's work.Jim - I couldn't think of another title. Her pose and expression made me think this one.Roger - There really is something special about the use of natural light from a north facing window.Ilkka - Thank you.John - It is nice when this all works together. One of the issues with shooting film is the inability to see how it is going until the film is processed. Sometimes you can feel success as you go.David - I'm quite pleased you like this one. I do like it very much and will print this when I finally get some more darkroom time.-Mark Link to comment
wmc718 3 Posted January 28, 2012 Absolutely love this shot Mark. Only thing that's a bit distracting to me is the sharp black line on the left. It's almost as though it's been cropped. Absolutely love the model and pose though! Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted January 29, 2012 Tamarah - Thank you, I always appreciate it when you comment positively on my work.Michael - Thanks, it is interesting that you dislike the very feature that Roger likes so much. I appreciate all opinions and use this feedback as I go forward with my photography.-Mark Link to comment
