Guest Guest Posted September 1, 2011 Very beautiful. The soft tone of color's in the background blends beautifully with the Ladies skin tone making the photo demand attention. Excellent Photo. Link to comment
JohnWebster 3 Posted September 3, 2011 The lighting is handled nicely (if a bit contrasty for my taste) and the pose almost works for me except for the head position. PPA judges pounded into my brain early in my education to decide on a profile or a 2/3 view of the face, one that would show 100% of both eyes, or just one eye of the profile view. All I can see of her right eye is the white area. If you move her chin away from you just a bit you would have an good profile. The head tilt towards you (as you have done) or away from you would produce slight variations, as would having her lower her chin and look at a focus point a smidge higher. Her lower lip highlight blends into her chin highlight so reducing the contrast of the lighting would solve that. You can select her chin & forehead in post production and reduce the levels a tad as a solution also. A nice image about which I suspect the bride was pleased in any case. I enjoy watching you grow as a photographer--keep it up! Link to comment
melissapapajphotography 0 Posted September 3, 2011 Thanks so much John. I really value your input :) Seriously, photography is so hard and it seems like the more I "grow" or know, the more I suck at it...you know. Link to comment
