You have been away quite a long time, likely because of your long holidays in the sun. Something we see here...

To my eyes this is one-of-a-kind photo, something I can't recall seeing before. Must have been fascineting to shoot this kind of partially underwater photo? The particles in water give a realistic quality, the broad blurred zone adds mystery while hiding the most of the other person, and also reminding us about the meeting point of two elements handling the light rays differently. What is valuable here is the backlighted head of the diver separating him (?, judged by the lower body) clearly from the background. It doesn't bother me much that the sky is blown out as now the water is the main element, also by the color.

I presume you must have taken plenty of photos to get such a succesfull result as this? Indeed a memorable capture.

This is a such an usual photo I felt the need to comment on just that alone but then the more I looked at it, the more it became obvious how very difficult it must be to shoot an image where one part is above water and the other below where each part have different light qualities. That's the technical part that is very difficult (at least it seems to me because I am not a technical person). From the creative aspect, I love the difference in size perception here due to that very same division of where air meets water. Love the light sparkling through the water. I also think if you cropped it tighter around the figure where no sky shows, you'd have a great and somewhat sci-fi abstract image! Great job! Thank you for sharing! :)

trisha, markku, thanks for your interesting observations. i started a little the underwater photo, so i joined my 2 biggest passions. i have a little camera, i cant choose anything becouse is only automatic, but is ok. i started with fishes, but i prefear people also in the sea... is not easy becouse this little camera has no wuewer, so handling it many photos are not focused. i will be back in october, hoping to have some photo to share. i saved only 6 photos for now, and i shooted about 200.....
